Student number controls
The way places are funded and allocated to universities and colleges differs around the UK. Click here to view our summary of the number control arrangement in each part of the UK, and how this potentially affects applicants during Clearing.

Communications to applicants from UCAS
Next month, we will be providing applicants with their own briefing to ensure they are prepared for Confirmation and Clearing. In addition, applicants can find a wide range of information on ucas.com, or by accessing our social media tools through ucasconnect.com, including:

  • video guides and FAQs – answers to the most common questions from UCAS advisers
  • top tips and myth busters – for facts about their applications
  • our Facebook and Twitter feeds – offering regular advice and useful information
  • blogs – following six applicants through their UCAS journeys.
